Nancy, I don't know where you got the idea but all military people are not trained killers. What every recruit undergoes in basic or boot is firearm instruction: how to clean, load, dismantle and fire the weapon(s) of the day. After boot camp or basic training, you transfer to a specialty school where you study whatever field your entrance exams show your aptitude to be, whether mechanical, electrical, electronics, administration, cooking, firefighters, police........... whatever. All military installations are like small towns and are pretty self-sufficient. Al At 12:31 AM 10/29/2001, you wrote: >Just wanted to add that my sister, who is a retired Lt.
