    3. I know that Linda must have the record cards on microfilm, so I will try to see what other info she has buried over in her office (she's been off for some time, due to illness). If I find anything, I will DEFINATELY let you know.... One question, tho....how long has the West End overpass thingie been up? Is it possible it was a longer, narrow building? Possibly running from one end of Batt's to down where Totem Lumber is/was? BTW, if you don't mind my asking, where are you stationed? Bryan. -----Original Message----- From: Al Lenkner [mailto:alenkner@stargate.net] Sent: Thursday, November 08, 2001 2:36 PM To: PA-PITTSBURGH-L@rootsweb.com Subject: RE: [PITTSBURGH] Minersville, Rose, and Riverside Schools Bryan, I'm truly interested in the Riverside School. I didn't have any relatives that went there but, just as a student of Pgh history, I find it amazing that this school existed. I know that there were a lot of folks living along the strip of land and South High was a good trek away in one direction and Langley a damn good trip in the other direction. I can see a need for a high school in that neighborhood but I would have imagined something being built in the West End, not that there's a lot of room there for a high school. As I said previously, it must've been a very small high school. Al At 02:20 PM 11/8/2001, you wrote: >Possibly, man, ya never know.
