Hi Diane all, WE must've been little about the same time, though figure your alittle older. I think I might recall the soaps after the news with Bill Burns. Those others no. I just put my son on the bus this year, so I've been watching Mr. Rodgers the past 10 years with both my kids! I would hope since our beloved Mr. Rodgers is retiring, I certainly hope they put some older folks on TV instead of puppet programs, though PBS has a great program "Between the Lions" that is a great "words show" with puppets! The main characters "mom dad Lion "run a library have songs with rhyming words while reading stories, the words are on the screen interacting of the books with the reader. It's great! And computers sometimes! The interaction between people is so important to the kids. I remember. By the way, whatever happened to Bill Cardill? Is he still in Pittsburgh? I also remember my mom telling me about the Little Red Schoolhouse (I forget the hosts name) and I do remember Kay Neuman and her cooking shows. One last bit....what about when the Guiding Light and Search for Tomorrow were 15 minutes long and right after the noon news with Bill Burns. I remember my mom folding my sister's diapers while watching that..... Needless to say I watched alot of tv when I was small. Well, hey, it was something new and exciting, so why not.
