    3. OK, a not to all, I work at the Board of Education, and when I saw the posts regarding Minersville and Riverside Schools, I did a little checking. Minersville School was located at Center Ave. and Morgan St. and was closed in September, 1942. I do not have a date as to when it opened. The information I found showed that it was combined with Rose Elementary School. Rose Elementary School was located on Rose and Charles Sts. and was closed in June of 1942. Again, I do not have a date as to when it opened. It was combined with Minersville School. I do not know if all the students were transferred to Minersville School, or to a different/new school. Will look for that information, but it may not be available. Riverside High School was located at 1740 W. Carson St., as Al has said. It openend in 1910, but I do not have any information as to when it closed or where the students went. Bryan.

    3. Thanks, Bryan. Now, could you tell us how to get records from these schools. My Griffith family lived at the intersection of Reed and Kirkpatrick Streets, about a block from Minersville School. Are the records available, for what years, and how would one request a search and/or copy? What is the fee?
