OK, here we go.... Minersville Elementary School Center Ave & Morgan St., Pittsburgh Opening date--unknown. Closing date-September, 1942. Combined with Rose Elementary School. Rose Elementary School Rose & Charles Streets, Pittsburgh Opening date--unknown. Closing date-June, 1942. Combined with Minersville Elementary School. Assumption on my part--As both schools were closed in 1942, I am assuming that they moved to a different building and combined students. I don't have any info as to what building or pre-existing school they moved to though. Sorry. Might want to check microfilm for news stories about the school closings?
