Norma, Well you have to make sure that the definations are up to date and properly configured to your email program. Also, is it a paid or free software program? I have the paid Norton and it is far superior to the free one, yet, AVG by gisoft is free, and it's a great program. The last virus that went around recently, BadTrans.B didn't need you to click it open, it opened itself on some email programs (like OE, for example).
