Hello ALL I need some help here. My g-father died June 3, 1931. Appllication for Probate of his Will is dated June 13 1931 and includes a dollar amount for his personal estate . His Will instructed that property he owned be sold and the money divided among his surviving children. That property was not identified. I know from personal conversations that the final sale of said property was not completed until sometime in about 1934-36 as a guess. When questioned my mother stated it was some "business" type property in the "down town" area - whatever that may have meant. My questions are: 1) Personal Estate; my understanding is this covers only home, furnishings, jewelry, bank account, etc. and Land holdings would not be included, anyone know the answer to this? 2) Where can I write to obtain information on what "down town" properties he may have owned? My mother identified the (guess 1934-'35) sale as the "last" of those properties. That comment led me to understand there may be prior sales, 3) raising the question - will I have to look for each sale independently or will they be filed together?
