I've been was grounded most of the day., Norton Scan did it's usual scan at noon and shut me down for two viruses. I went through everything I was told to do and finally I'm able to communicate again. Is the problem fixed? Obviously not for both viruses are still listed. Odd thing happened when I received mail again. All of the messages concerning phone booths, boonies, schools came through with 5 copies of each messages. I'm taking a chance--Norton says I'm clear. Go figure. Oh what the heck, I'll list the Virus names. Teeny, For the 6089th time, DO NOT OPEN attachments. Simon Legree
Mac a/k/a Simon, For the 6089th time, I did not; do not open attachments.. I didn't open--I deleted immediately but Norton shut down the works. Incidentally, this crazy thing--or things--came from the phone booth. No ,not from you. Strangely, it wasn't addressed to me. It was addressed to Al. I DID NOT OPEN the attachment. Why didn't the rest of you hoodlums get the same thing. Also, the five e-mails of which each had five copies, were not addressed to me but the subject line in each was 'phone booth'. Methinks we have a rival gang. Thanks for answering. I feel like I'm stranded out in the boonies all by myself. Next thing you know a voice will be coming out of that hollow tombstone in Carnot Cemetery. The SULNBK.EXE isn't a virus, it's a necessary windows file. If you deleted it, that's what is causing your problems. You'll need to reinstall the file. Sue, Thank you. I didn't delete it so I'm up a tree and that's worse than being in the phone booth. It's 2:50a.m. and any one with any sense would be in bed. At my age, sense is the last thing I need. Glad you are still awake. It's lonely out here in space. Mac, if you are reading this, I just sent you one of my short--ha ha--e-mails and I don't know where it went. It must be that darned cooking sherry again. I'm to cock-eyed to re-type it now. I'll catch you tomorrow.
