Ginnie, You won't have to worry about fitting into a phone booth as a member of Mac's fan club with that remark! <VBG> Right, Mac? Seriously, before the Hill District was leveled for the Civic Arena and before the riots of '68, there were a lot of night spots all over the Pgh region, drawing a lot of the name entertainers but greed and economics killed most of them and TV can probably share some of the blame. Most of the singers popular today with the young kids, well, at least the younger crowd, probably wouldn't have made it 50 years ago. They are selling sex as much as, if not more than, the music that they deliver. Comparing them to Sinatra, Bennett, Torme and others of that generation is a joke. Most of today's stars couldn't even warm up the audience; they would have been booed from existence.
