ANYway....I don't have the recepie, and I know that my dad won't share it....sorry....but my grandfather swore him to secrecy, I do know that...because years ago, back when I was a baby, my grandparents used to make tons of it for all the family members and neighbors and stuff....I swear, you could hear their kitchen table creaking as they worked....and we ALWAYS make hamburgers with the leftover meat....oh, GAWD are they good....     3. Hi Rosanne, As far as I know, there is no relation. After I got started in this business, I got the marriage certificate for my great grandparents, who were married in St. Philomena Church on June 17, 1869, and the name was spelled 'Latz". My great grandfather died on December 13, 1879, and the name appeared as 'Lutz' on the 1880 census. It could have been sloppy writing, or the census taker may have heard it wrong, who knows. So, I'm checking it both ways but not ruling out any possibilities. Thanks for asking, though. Have a great day! I know where Chartiers Creek is. It starts in Washington County, winds it way through Birdgeville, Carnegie, Crafton, and dinally empties into the Ohio River. It is possible that Chartiers Township and Creek are the same place. and there is a Manfield Avenue in Greentree. This isn't much to go on but it might be another step in the right direction. Incidentally, I moved away from there 23 years ago and I know there have been many changes since.
