Bobbi-- Thanks so much for forwarding these links. I'm in Virginia and heard nothing in the news about flooding in western PA. I still have family in Pittsburgh. Those photos were shocking. Someone on the Butler County list asked about flood damage, and it occurred to me that a lot of people on the Pittsburgh list don't live there and have no idea how extensive the flooding really was. I thought I'd fix that. On WTAE channel 4 and WPXI channel 11 websites, there are links for viewer photos of the flood. http://www.thepittsburghchannel.com/index.html?subid=2100083 http://www.wpxi.com/index.html The Trib-Review also has a lot of photos: http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/ Click on the "Ivan's aftermath" photo at the top of the page, and the page it takes you to will have a link on the right for more photos. My parents (Pgh natives) now live in southern Ohio and had no idea how bad Pittsburgh really was until I told them. Even though they're only a couple hours away, their news only mentioned heavy rains for the Burgh, not the whole truth. Dad was astounded. Hope this is interesting to some, Bobbi
Very interesting post ... My wife's maiden name is DARR. She tell's me that her Grandfather came from Pennsylvania. I've sent this email to her brothers - none are genealogists but someone in the Family may have input to this subject. If so, I'll post it here. However, when I have tried it recently the site either cannot be found or it is unavailable. Does anyone know if this is still a valid site? Thanks, Carolyn (TX)

These are awesome tips Ginnie. I am especially curious now to see if Margaret Reinbold lived at 934 Beech and if she could have been Mrs. Margaret Lee who I know lived there in 1951 when I was born. My aFamily was Episcopalian so maybe the tie is through the church. My aFather was very big in the Mason's and the Grotto and it's not impossible he had a connection there. I was taken from Allegheny General when I was about 3 days old and went to live with the aParents in their home state of New York. There was never a legal adoption for me and my birth mother entered AGH using the aParents information, their names were Warren and Teresa Lordly. Thanks for your input. Each new clue leads me closer. Margaret Reinbold would be the exact age I am seeking. Take care. Tell them the approximate years you are refering to. I remember a gal who had an illigitimate child who belonged to the church. My guess is she would be 78 or 79 today. I think her name was Margaret Reinbold. Odd that should come into my mind after all of these years. Wish I could help you, and I wish you luck in your search. There was another church on the next corner....same side of the street that was known as the bake oven cause it was round. It is episcopal. If you don't do well at Calvary, ask them the name of the episcopal church. That might also be the one.
