    2. Tomi Larson
    3. Hello List, I am interested in information on any of the people below. I would like to establish a connection to the Geisler family of East Liberty around the turn of the century - 1880s-1920s. I believe most of the baptisms and marriages occured at Sts Peter and Paul RC Church in E. Liberty. John and Catherine Kirchner (sponsors for baptism of Irene Geisler) Thomas Lauderheim and Rosa Lang (sponsors for baptism of Charles Geisler) William and Maria Kruft (sponsors for baptism of John William Geisler) Hermann Sagemann (I believe is husband of Catherine Sagemann?) Joseph Ganster (Witness for marriage of John P and Margaret Geisler) E. Suhr (Witness for marriage of Joseph Lang and Catherine Geisler) Also interested in Philip and Catherine Geisler CYPHERS and Margaretta LANG Geisler or any Pittsburgh LANGS that might be related to Margaretta/ Margaret. Kind regards, Tomi Larson _________________________________________________________________ Now you can see troubleĀ…before he arrives http://newlivehotmail.com/?ocid=TXT_TAGHM_migration_HM_viral_protection_0507

    3. My father-in-law is 86 & has lived a healthy life, pretty much, but he also has had prostate cancer twice. Getting the exams done, should be for your loved ones, keeping healthy is up to the indivual & his/her family. Just imagine one appt, versus many months of worrying of the results & generally feeling lousy. Waiting is harder to do. 3. Hi Ladies & Gents I had breast cancer a little over three years ago. I have a mammagram taken each year because there is breast cancer in my family. They found it early. Mine was hard to detect because it could not be felt. They saw something on the film but was not sure what it was. I do have calcium deposits. They did a sonagram and then a biospy and they found it. Doing a breast exam on yourself will not find the kind that I had so you ladies MUST have a mammagram, PLEASE. I went to my appointment not having cancer, but left with breast cancer. IT IS DEVASTAING, BUT HAVING A GOOD MIND SET REALLY DOES HELP AND SO DO PRAYERS. I had a new procedure done so I only had to do radiation, twice a day, for 6 days. I am also on Arimidex for 5 years and I know with Gods help I will get through it. Gents, please have your prostates checked. On another list I belong to, one of the gents did and found out it had to be removed. Let me know how everything turns out. I just joined these forums. This month celebrates the 100th anniversary of my grandmother and great-grandmother from Lithuania. I have found the record of their arrival on the SS Samland at Ellis Island on May 15th. On the manifest I have found that they were going to 210 Orchard Street in Pittsburgh. My great aunt and uncle were living there with more family at 40 Orchard Street, still Pittsburgh. My question is, which Orchard Street are we looking at? GoogleEarth has 4 in Pittsburgh, but what did Pittsburgh look like 100 years ago? I am thinking the Woodland Hills area is my last choice as it is sort of east of the city. If I look at the 1910 census, the family was in the Stafford - Stadium - Adena area of Ward 20. ( Other family members (their cousins) were on Western Avenue in Ward 21. ) Most of the family worked in the Coal and Steel factories with my grandfather later working for the Railroad. The family was Lithuanian. This information might help identify the social level they lived at. Unfortunately no one is alive today who knows this information. 3. Thank you Jen - I did do a google but got different results for some reason - I will do it again though and see if I get the results you did. You've given me head start with the name of the university. I had tried re SSDI but not having the forenames I didn't get anythign either. Greta actually died in Norfolk, back here in the Uk so I was surprised to find the SSDI reference but I guess it is because she worked over there for so long.
