If you are trying to determine where a location is, you may want to use the links at this page. I've used Terraserver with some wonderful results. TopoZone also looks good. Some links are to free use sites, some are for products for sale. The USGS is great especially for small locations, because if the location was on a map, as a creek, dam, pond, etc., its name is in the database. The topos also locate many cemeteries.
