    2. Lots of luck getting any info out of Mount Moriah Cemetery. The staff is rude, uncooperative and will not put themselves out in the least. All they do is ask for money. Do NOT, under ANY circumstances, send them a cent . There are stories galore of checks being cashed and people receiving zilch in return. Also, that place is in a pitiable condition. Those living in that neighborhood around that cemetery (I won't dignify them by calling them people) have ruined it! I've heard horror stories from people daring to visit there about the awful shape it's in!

    3. Does this mean that Holy Cross Cemetery is the same way? On my map software it is very near to Mt. Moriah. I sent them a request with a SASE several months ago and have not had the courtesy of a reply yet. ----- Original Message ----- From: <TCall2000@aol.com> To: <PA-PHILA-CEMETERIES-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, July 09, 2001 7:33 AM Subject: [PHILLY~CEMS] Re: PA-PHILA-CEMETERIES-D Digest V01 #26/Mount Moriah > Lots of luck getting any info out of Mount Moriah Cemetery. > > The staff is rude, uncooperative and will not put themselves out in the least. 1. [PHILLY~CEMS] Mount Moriah- My experience
    2. Bill Cotgreave
    3. I would like to share my own experience with all of you. I have relations buried in Mt. Moriah, which is why I joined this list...to get some advise on how to proceed. I did not have much hope when I read all the negative comments about the cemetery and staff......But, I went ahead and made the call, willing to waste? or invest 10 cents. Carol answered and I asked her if she would please help me. She asked for the details and to call back in a week. I called back today and she imeadiatly remembered me and retrieved my information about the grave location and even told me who else was buried in it. I can't speak for other employee's (past or present) but I have to tell everyone...Carol was helpful, concerned and a pleasure to speak with. And she never asked for any monetary considerations. I hope others have the same experience in the future. Regards, Bill Cotgreave billcot@optonline.net
