The University of PA has a master list of Philadelphia newspapers on line at www.library.upenn.edu/vanpelt/guides/philahist.html. U of P and Temple (along with a few other schools such as Haverford) all have newspaper archives; the Bulletin archives are at Temple. L. Klein is correct, the Inquirer and Bulletin are your best bets. Some other quick references can be found by searching google.com for "Philadelphia newspapers". I must admit, I haven't been successful in doing online obit searches, but the libraries are always willing to help. Good luck! L. What newspapers existed around 1924 in Philadelphia? And does anybody know if they contained obituaries? If so where can they be found? Thank you so much for your help! P.S.
