    1. [PHILLY-CEMET~] DEXHEIMER death 1861, 714 Vine St

    3. I'm new to the list, and searching for the burial place of Margaret (Hoffman) DEXHEIMER, died on or about 26 July 1861. She and her husband Jacob were Lutheran (German immigrants), and he was a tailor at 714 Vine Street at the time of her death. I've applied for her death certificate to the Philadelphia City Archives but it's a long time coming! And the mail-in look-up service at the Free Library of Philadelphia could not locate a death notice or obituary in their indexes. Wondering if anyone can tell me if there are indexes to any Philadelphia cemeteries, and if there is a cemetery nearby 714 Vine Street that would have an obvious burial place. I believe that she is the lone member of the family to be buried in Philadelphia. I believe that they came to the US in the 1850s, she was 73 when she died, and her husband went to New York City after she died to be near his son. Any advice or suggestions will be gratefully received. Elsa Vorwerk in Allegany County, Maryland
