KING, Local Business Man Dies Today. Death Occurred in Hospital at Philadelphia After Long Illness. Article Text: William A. KING, a prominent business man of this city, died at the Polyclinic Hospital in Philadelphia, this morning of complications following a long illness. Mr. KING had been in failing health for some time and had been in the hospital in Philadelphia for several weeks where he had been taking special treatment. The members of his family were with him when he died. Mr. KING was born in Lancaster County and came to this city many years ago when a very young man. He engaged in the bakery business and continued in that line up to the time of his illness. He was senior partner of W. A. KING & Co., bakers, confectioners and ice cream manufacturers, wholesale and retail, at 20 South Main Street. He was a member of the First Methodist Church and a member of several local ledges and fraternal organizations. Mr. KING is survived by his wife, one son, Daniel J. and one daughter, Mrs. Alonzo PARTRIDGE, of Kingston, and two grandchildren: also his mother, Mrs. Daniel KING, of Columbia, Lancaster County; one sister, Mrs. Sadie PAULES, of Columbia, and one brother, Charles KING, of this city.
