Railroad Builders Halted at the Point of a Shotgun. Altoona, Pa., Jan. 5. - Mrs. Leah BEAMER, aged sixty-five years, with her daughter, Viola, held a construction gang of the Altoona, Clearfield, and Northern Railway at bay all night after driving the workmen off the premises late Thursday evening. Mrs. BEAMER detected the men at work on her plot during the afternoon laying tracks. She warned them off, but the men merely laughed. When Mrs. BEAMER returned to the scene later, she was armed. Ordering the men away at the point of a shotgun, she and Miss Viola tore up the track already laid.
