Article Text: Yesterday morning one Thomas APTY, a Plaisterer of this city, being at the Red Lyon Tavern, in Elbow-Lane, laid a wager of half a crown, that he would drink within the space of one hour and half, a gallon of Cyder Royal, (being three fourths cyder, and one quarter apple spirit,) which he had no sooner accomplished, and said, I have finish'd it, but he fell down speechless, and died in a few hours, notwithstanding all endeavors used to revive him.
