    3. What is the source of income for the wealthy of today? There is no one answer to that for either then or now. I'm sure many had inherited land and wealth...Wm Penn received the land that comprised Pa from the King, in repayment of a loan. Some may have married for money, as today. Some were bankers, attorneys, tradesmen although land was probably the greatest source of most wealth in those days. Most of my Quaker families seemed to have been farmers, some well to do and some probably what you'd call middle class today. Sent from Sandra's iPod ????
