I'm sorry I have found Find-A-Grave to be a great site for information. I have been a member for 4 years and everyone I have dealt with other this time have been very polite, kind and very absolutely bent over backwards to make sure their records are right. I have wrote to a few to update information and they were more than happy to make their records correct. I don't understand why there is such a bad name given to this site, but I do agree, What you find on the internet is more of a "guideline" to the final answers you seek. Research, Research and more research and getting down to finding documents and actual records will be the only way to find the truth to what you seek. Most of my family records on Ancestry.com are a joke. They are so outdated and incorrect that it makes me upset. People just copy what they find and say it's gossip. It's far from the truth! As an example, I found an ancestor's grave listed, contacted that town's offices, an extremely nice young man actually went out to the cemetery and tyok a picture and sent it to me. I think if this site is used with its actual purpose in mind, there shouldn't be any problems.
