I looked in CHESTER AND ITS VICINITY DELAWARE CO IN PA by Martin, and see there is apparently another family with a lot of the same names, which may just confuse things even more. Wm Cranston (born around1734) married Mrs Ann Ford, a widow, with 3 sons and 1 daughter, her maiden name was Johnson. She had 2 sisters, Rachel, married to Adam Prince and Betty to a Lamplugh. Mrs Fords children by her first marriage were Benjamin Ford, whio settled in New Jersey, Jacob and Wm, In Philly and Elizabeth m Robert Ferguson, John Keys of Chester. The Fords were ship carpenters.
