James Siddens was born 01 April 1777 according to his headstone in an Indiana cemetery.   He is alleged to have been born at East Marlborough in Chester County, but I have been unable to confirm that.  Another story has his family living next to the Ben Franklins in Philadelphia at one time. By the time of his marriage in 1798 he was living in Augusta County, Va.    Siddens is also alleged to be the son of William Siddons and Jeanne Carr, members of the Old Swedes Church in Philadelphia.  The couple are known to have been wed there in 1766, but there are no church records for any children of this couple.     Can anyone suggest particular records that might be checked in Chester County as I attempt to find parents for James (and his brothers William and Joseph)?   Sincerely, Duane Lamers Troy, Michigan
