One of the better sources for information on the Gilpin family that immigrated to Chester County is "The Gilpin Family in England and America" by A. R. Justice, published by the Genealogical Society of Pennsylvania. It is on microfilm at the Family History Library, film #517145, item 2. It may now be available somewhere on the internet, but I searched for it and didn't find it.
