    3. Janney was an old Quaker name. You might try searching the Digital Quaker archives at http://dqc.esr.earlham.edu Also, Davis's History of Buck's County: http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/pa/bucksp/davistoc.htm And try: http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi and enter Janney as a surname and died in PA and you'll find 309 Janney references in many family trees. Try entering Isaac Janney, subject of a previous post of yours found in the archives, >Searching for a name of the wife of Isaac Janney. And you'll find a wives named Sarah Bishop, Martha Radford, Hannah Jones, Mary Underwood and Elsie Griffith to name a few, which is a good illustration of why date, location and parents or children are always helpful for any query. To search the Old Chester List archives with having to search each year's posts try a Google search for: janney PA-OLD-CHESTER That will find 33 old posts. Some of those reference Falls Meeting, and offhand I know someone has been posting some old book(s) on that Quaker meeting recently at: http://www.quakerrecords.com/ & http://www.quakerrecords.com/databases/falls_historical_notes/pg001.htm The above is a great site that keeps growing rapidly with many books on Quaker meetings in the Mid-Atlantic area added within the last year.
