(actually, the URL you list is from one of my own sites!) Sandra Nicholas Newlin was born November 7, 1723, in Concord, Chester (now Delaware) County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Nathaniel and Jane woodward Newlin, and only 9 years old when his father died and he became heir to 400 acres on Doe's Run. His mother appeared in Orphan's court and was declared his legal guardian in February of 1733. Nicholas married Ann Walter the widow of Thomas Walter, in Concord MM, in 1746/7, and these two had the following children; a.. Richard, the eldest child, b. in 1747 and married Mary Goodwin in 1776. As Richard was born only 8 months after the marriage of his parents, the Concord Women's minutes chastises Ann for having had "carnal knowledge" of her husband before their marriage b..
