Could someone check an 1840 census that is not on Ancestry.com to see if Chester Co., Sadsbury Township, has a WILSON MCCLURE listed and, if not, what the census has as the last name. I am not convinced the last name as it is written is really MCCLURE. Thanks, Jeanne

Jeanne....There is a Wilson Mc???? in Sadsbury, but it is illegible to me, but there is a dotted 'I' in the last part of the last name, so it doesn't look like McClure.......maybe McUrin or McMinn? something similar to that. Ancestry has it indexed to McClure, but it doesn't look like that is the surname to me! 1840; Census Place: Sadsbury, Chester, Pennsylvania; Roll: 453; Page: 125. It is not much better on Genealogy.com's images either. But it doesn't look like McClure to me. There is a William McLure in W. Nantmeal, Chester Co - 1840; Census Place: West Nantmeal, Chester, Pennsylvania; Roll: 453; Page: 42. If you want, I can send you the image....
