There seems to be some question on who was naturalized. Keep in mind that, before the American Revolutionary War, we were citizens of Great Britain, just the same as those folks who lived in England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland. Therefore, NO ONE from Great Britain or its dependencies required naturalization...after all, we were the same. So, before the Am. Rev War, only folks from OTHER countries required naturalization...Germans, the Swiss, French, etc.... However, AFTER the Am Rev. War, things changes as we became citizens of the new republic.
