I doubt there is any sort of an answer to this question, George. I'm sure, in some cases Hibbard may also be included in records as Hibberd...after all, there's only one letter difference. I'd also think Hibbert, Hibbart, Hibert, Hibart, Hebbert, Hibbert might also be found as the same name. You know how these things go - there's no telling HOW clerks and record takers will chose to spell a name. Remember, records don't necessarily reflect how the individual spelled his name (only his signature will do that) -a record only shows how the CLERK chose to spell it!
