Sandra - Does your book include what is now Delaware County? This book sounds like a real prize! Do you have the particulars on it? ( I am looking for Thomases that lived in Nether Providence/Ridley/Middletown Townships, and also Radnor - Could you please check and see if there are any Thomases who lived in those areas? Richard and Benjamin would be the most important. Benjamin had a lot of sons but I don't think they were all born by then. Maybe Seth/George/Job/Bevan....(there were 8, lol) Thanks! Lynn
Lynn -- I, too, am interested in Thomases. What dates are you looking for? I have two possible Thomas families: one would be relatives (brothers, etc.) of the David (ap) Thomas who died in Philadephia county in 1717/1718, leaving sons Thomas (kept the Thomas surname but had no children), Samson David, Richard David and John David as well as daughters. These children changed the surname to David/Davis. They most likely lived in the Providence area and probably came from Chester County before that. The other Thomas family is that connected to Nancy Thomas who married David Davis in late 1700's in either Berks or Northumberland County. She died between 1830 and 1840 in what was then Mercer county. Thanks for any connection that you may find to your own family!
