Is there a timeline anywhere of what churches were in Chester in the early 1700s? I find that some of my quakers are missing and need to locate them. JJH
There are two Baptist churches that apparently saw a lot of Quakers join after the Keithian Separatist schism in late 1600s and early 1700s. Great Valley is one of those and I know that a lot of Welsh Quakers ended up there. I forget the other one offhand but I think it was mentioned in some posts I made on the Keithians here and on the Quaker Roots list and on the web page I cited the info from. I believe there is also a list of early churches on Sandra's PA-Roots Chester site. And there is some info on early Presbyterian churches in some pages I host at www.mal.net/EarlyPresbyterians/. -----Original Message----- From: James Hoskins Is there a timeline anywhere of what churches were in Chester in the early 1700s? Visit the Chester Co site, as suggested in your Welcome Email......I have listed MANY early churches, and their dates of inception. Sandra -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition. Version: 7.1.405 / Virus Database: 268.12.1/440 - Release Date: 9/6/2006
