    3. "Ark and the Dove", 1633-1634 from England to Maryland! This is England's first Colony in Maryland, and it was a Catholic Colony of the CALVERT Family, when first settled in 1634. The ruling Calvert was known as Lord Baltimore! This week-end, September 7 & 8, 2006, there will be the annual celebration of the Ark & the Dove. at Colton Point, in St. Mary's County, Maryland. Boat trips have been available to St. Clement's Island in the Potomac River. There are other historical buildings open. Food may be purchased on the site. This is sponsored by the local Optimist Club and is referred to as "The Blessing of the Fleet:"! My son & I attended the last two years; but I do not have plans to go this year. Violet Moore Guy, a Resident of St. Mary's County, MD. 10/07/2006 ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tim Robinson" <trobinson42@comcast.net> To: <PA-OLD-CHESTER-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, September 16, 2006 10:35 AM Subject: [PaOldC] Scanned Map of route for "Ark & the Dove" > Forwarded message, as I thought it may be interesting to others.
