    3. >From a lookup in THE IMMIGRATION OF THE IRISH QUAKERS INTO PA 1683-1750, by Myers. There are many pages on this family, and if you will send me your ancestor in this family I'll see what it has to say. The bio starts with John Marsh, a Friend, of Armagh, County Armagh, Ireland, who was living in that town as early as 1664...his will is dated 1688 and in it he mentions his house had "plott in the Scotch Street in Aremagh" which he began renting in Oct of 1644. He was persecuted many times for his Quaker faith, for a number of years...and, it is even on record that one of his servants was imprisoned for trying to conceal some grain in an attempt to keep it from being taken by the local authorities. His son Joseph was disowned from the Lugurn meeting (reason unknown) and it appears he died before his father, earlier in '88, leaving at least 2 children, mentioned in John's will....Joshua and Margery.....Joshua married Elizabeth Rogers at the Ballyhagen meeting, in 1695, and in 1736, Joshua and his son John began to make ready to move with their families to PA, and carried with them a certificate from the Grange meeting, near Charlimount, dated 2nd 4mo 1736...they are mentioned in the minutes of the Men's and Women's Meetings, at Goshen, 18th 8th mo 1736. -- No virus found in this outgoing message.
