I know it's probably not likely, but you might check to see how many state routes now run through the township. If you get lucky, there is only one and that would be your answer. It sort of makes sense that if there was only one that they would just call it the state road since everyone would know what they meant. Do you know that they didn't move? Then there's always the chance that the enumerator got confused/made a typo/forgot where he was or something. Route 113 is 'the' State numbered route thru the township 401 Conestoga Pike is the other but was as far as I know always Conestoga Turnpike.
