Has anyone done any research in Mifflin Co, or have any Mifflin Co records they could share with me? We've found an ancestor from there....John Beatty, who owned land in Mifflin Co, and whose will went through Mifflin probate in 1823. His daughter, Eleanor, was my many times grandmother, and married George Baxter, in the York Co congregation of Rev. Cathcart, a Seceder Presbyterian minister. I'm totally unfamiliar with Mifflin Co, so will appreciate any tips you can share with me....it looks like a trip to Lewistown is 'in the stars' for me this spring, and I'm tickled pink....it's been a long time since we've had a real live name to follow up on.
