OR you could post at Rootsweb's PA census list, which covers ALL of the censuses (with images) and has TONS of volunteers! go to [email protected] for any census info. unfortunately, due to the new software, you must sign up in order to post OR you can just ask me (I am list admin) - email any census questions to [email protected] - I will be glad to look up census info for you. First US census was 1790. 1790-1840 unfortunately only lists head of household and then the number/sex of dependents; 1850 is the first census that lists the name of each person in the household. If you need to search prior to 1850, best way to begin is WITH 1850 and then work backwards. Give surname, year, and county in the subject line for best results.
