Abraham left no will, but there are adm. papers........the file is dated 1832, and his place of residence was London Grove. There is also an inventory included which is always so interesting...to see the things our ancestors lived with. You may obtain a copy of his papers from Archives and Records....their online address is in the last paragraph of the intro , on the Chester Co site....it is discussed in your Welcome Email. Records and Archives is a wonderful place and you need to see what all they DO offer that might be a help to you! Jacob left no will or papers at his death......through 1900. There is no mention of Abraham in THE HISTORY OF CHESTER CO, by Futhey and Cope. Marriage records weren't kept until around 1885, (except for a few years in the 1850s)all too late to have Abraham's. Death records kept at the county level are even later - close to 1900 if memory serves. So, the only place you'll find these dates will be in church records, I'm afraid. (a little hint....it's always wise to place a FULL name and some sort of date, as your subject...many folks only read posts that interest them, and delete any that don't...plus, lots of folks surf the archives, looking for names of interest to them, so it's always a good idea to get our FULL name of interest "out there", anywhere we possibly can....peppering the internet with it is, to coin Martha, "a good thing"!) Sandra Abraham & Rachael Maxwell (1820s) in West Chester, PA. Children Jacob (1817), Esther and Sarah. My great great Grandmother was Esther (b.31 Mar 1822) who married John Quimby Whitelock (b. 5 Sep 1816 Wilmington, DE). The Maxwell name has been used as a "middle" name for four generations of our men and I would like to learn more about Abraham -the blacksmith and any family history (B/M/D) in Chester. .
