I have been reading the flow of data on the subject couple and would like to throw in some other info. My mother-in-law, Edna Mildred MILLER (1902-1988) was descendant of the couple. In her personal papers she had a copy of a paper by Bart ANDERSON, which provided in detail his research on the New Garden Meeting as well as the family of John MILLER. I learned that Mr. ANDDERSON was a long time member of the Chester Co Historical Society and that he was known for his research on early county families. His work is quite detailed, including deeds, wills, marriages, meeting records, etc. Unfortunately, he passed away before his work on the Miller's was completed. John and Mary were the parents of 9 children, all but the youngest were born in Ireland. The children were Joseph, James,,Mary,Martha,William,Sarah,Elizabeth,Elinor, and Susanna. My MIL had worked from her generation backward. Using her data and that of Mr Anderson, I was able to link them together somewhat in the middle. I have a Family Tree Maker file of the data and would be happy to share or discuss what I have found. I am afraid that I can shed no light on the connection between John and Gayen MILLER. The only mention of Gayen in Mr Anderson's work is, as previously reported by another writer, he was elected in 1714 to replace John on the Provincial Assembly. I can be contacted at [email protected]_ (mailto:[email protected]) . Note, however, that because of long term travel plans, I will probably not be able to respond before the last week in Aug. B. M.
