Indexes of early deeds are on CCArchives website now. You could find some you are interested in and request them from Cliff or Kim. You'll only really get metes and bounds and neighbors, but a stream or road might be mentioned which would help to pinpoint it. The Hayes family owned thousands of acres. I'll see if I have anything in my land files. They often come up in my work. Robbyn Kehoe On Jul 29, 2009, at 3:49 PM, [email protected] wrote: > > Today's Topics: > > 1. Thank you, Robbyn~ I noticed the deed indexes last night. I'll have to work on them. I appreciate your checking your records. I'm aware of how prominent the Hayes family was in Chester County and am hoping that someone on list has done research on them. Apparently, J. Carroll Hayes was my great grandfather's best friend. He was also a very distant cousin of my grandmother (the daughter-in-law of said ggf) although they didn't know it at that time.
