    3. Thank you for the information which you listed under "Some Early Arrivals copied from Minshall Painter of Middletown, Delaware CO., PA...".. There was "Pennick, John, Edward, Christopher resided in Bethal, Edward and Christopher died 1732 and probably from Cork Ireland." I have in my Starr line a listing for Rachel Starr b. 31 Oct 1764 d. 7 Jan 1822 and married John Pennock. Your next listing is for the son of Christopher Pennock, who came from Tepperary, Ireland before 1685....removed to West Marlborough... It is believed Rachel's father came from Ireland and they lived in London Grove, Chester Co., PA. Anyone know if this is the John Pennock who married Rachel Starr(daughter of Thomas and Sarah Starr.) Mary in Alabama ------------------------- ) some names extracted from LDS FILM #0563394..... (Sandra Ferguson)

According to Futhey and Cope, Rachel was married to James Starr, son of John, and whose grandfather is said to have served in the Parliamentary army as a captain of infantry, and afterwards removed to Ireland, lived in Oldcastle, county Meath. By Mary, he had children John 1774, James, 1676; Elizabeth 1684; Susannah 1686; Jeremiah 1690; Moses 1692; Isaac 1697. James and Rachel, his wife, came to Pa in 1712, and settled in New Garden. Among all the Starrs in THE HISTORY OF CHESTER COUNTY PA, there is no Thomas included. Christopher Pennock, the ancestor of the Pennock family married before 1675, Mary, dau of Geo collett, of Clonmel, county Tipperary....also lived in Cornwall England...then emigrated to Pa in 1685...officer under King Wm of Orange and in the battle of Boyne, 1690. Died in Philly, 1701....3 children, only 1 with issue...Joseph...(he's the one that built "Primitive Hall""....1738...had 12 children; Elizabeth, Samuel, Wm, Mary, Joseph, Nathaniel, Joseph, Ann, Sarah, Hannah, Levis, Susanna. from the marriage records of the New Garden Meeting; John Pennock of Christiana Hundred in the county of New Castle, son of Joseph Pennock and Hannah his wife (both deceased), and Rachel Starr of West Marlborough, dau of Thomas and Sarah his wife, 15, 2m 1786 in a public meeting at London Grove.
