My two cents (and maybe a bit more) ... Newbies often are so excited about joining a mailing list that they fail to read the rules provided in their welcome email before they post their first queries (and we've probably all been guilty of this one or twice, too, on one list or another). Much of "getting one's nose out of joint" after a few suggestions by list members to do a bit more research before posting could be prevented by knowing how to use the list properly. It does get tiring to read the same questions over and over that were asked months or years before and could be answered easily by searching the list's archives or Googling first. If you don't know how to do this, just ask. And, Sandra, you've done a terrific job as list administrator, often going above and beyond when "Googling" or a query didn't provide the results for which we sought! I've long respected your knowledge, your resources and your energy and enthusiasm in helping us connect with our ancestors in and around Chester County.
