I don't have any records on any Lewis Townsend but you might find him by looking at some other Townsends of the same era and place. Here are some miscellaneous Townsends I've found over the years: Mary Townsend, b. ? m. Jonathan Mendenhall (b. 1777 in Guilford Co., NC) but son of Moses Mendenhall and Sarah Howell of Bradford Twp., Chester Co. Mary Townsend, b. about 1790 m. Joseph James (living in Delaware county in 1860 and 1870) Looking at all these odds and ends, it looks like there are a number of Quakers, many Welsh names, and a lot of folks with ties to townships along the Chester/Delaware count line and stretching into the Welsh tract (incl. Valley Forge). That said, I also have records of mid-18th century Quaker Townsends in New York and non-Quaker Townsends who m. ex-Quakers down in Patrick County, Virginia in the 18th century.
