I looked for Minor wills, in case there were any that could shed light on you Minor problem.....but nothing is in the archives but these, 1714-1876, which I will include, anyway, in case they 'fit' later. They do at least let you know that there were Minors in the New London area of the county. How interesting, though, these 3 Minor siblings must have died of the same thing.....their wills were written Aug 3, 12th and 18th...and all in probate Aug 31st...wonder what was 'going aroung' at that time? Also interesting is Thomas' comment on leaving his wife only 5 shillings because "she hath been guilty of several dlopements from me and of many other great misdemeanors to my great grief and loss"...boy, the stories these old wills 'tease' us with! I looked at the 1765 Chester ARchives and see that the name...surely the same folks....in New London.....was spelled Miner...so, keep that in mind. The Miners that I found in Futhey and Cope were all another family, who moved to Chester from Con..... S. MINOR, JOHN. New London.August 12, 1773.
