How odd to see this, I used to hunt with Mahlon Miller <G> from Sti-Mi-Go farm (where they probably had a Phoenixville addy) on the Pughtown Kimberton road. I wonder if he was a grandson. Hi folks, Looks like my email has been hacked. PLEASE don't click on any links from it! Suggestions are welcome as to how to clean my Mac and make sure that there isn't some email trojan hiding on it somewhere. My apologies to you all! Thanks for the heads-up, Billie. When I was aware, the White Funeral Home was the only one in Parkerford but I can find no listing for any funeral home in Parkerford any more. Have you contacted the CCHS? Can someone look up info in the records of Mauger Funeral Home? I am searching for the burial location of Margaret Orr, (born 27 Feb 1857, died 26 Aug 1907). I have a copy of her PA death certificate which says she was buried in Phoenixville, PA on 29 Aug 1907 - but does not list cemetery. Undertaker is listed as Mauger, Parkerford. I suspect she is in Morris Cemetery with her husband, George Orr (1854-1916), but would like some proof. Thank you, Sharon snkgenealogy@hotmail.com
The NY Times also published an article on May 1 about Jamestown, with a little more history to it: http://www.nytimes.com/2013/05/02/science/evidence-of-cannibalism-found-at-jamestown-site.html?_r=1& Diana in AL audianaq@msn.com
Sandra, Thanks, once again, for taking time to post interesting ancillary information to the list. Your comments keep it interesting beyond just finding ancestors!! This is a fascinating article on Jamestown, Va's starving time'....1609. I had a relative who arrived on the second boatload, in 1608, and so lived through that terrible winter, went on to establish a 'hundred', escape when kidnapped by the Native Americans, and live to marry and have children. What lives our ancestors led! Sandra (A hundred was a division of land sufficient to keep one hundred people and had a leader who established that hundred. More and more spam seems to be sneaking through the the rootsweb filters, so this will be happening again, I'm sure. So, here's how we need to handle it from now on: 1) I wouldn't think it necessary to tell folks to open NOTHING you do not expect, but I guess I do! Even when it comes from a friend's emaiI address, do not open it. Instead, verify with your friend that he/she sent it. Take nothing on trust. 2). When something does sneak by, email ME about this..... and please do not post it to the list in general. As a matter of fact you can be sure that when I see this sort of thing on the list I immediately place the member with spyware on moderated so everything they send to the list must be okayed by me.....and, I have told them how to stop this happening..... Change their server password is all they need to do. Easie peasie! This is not a virus, it will not hurt anything on your computer..... It just wishes to use your address book to send spam to. If you have any questions , feel free to email me and I'll help if I can. Sandrap Sent from Sandra's iPod ????

I'm sending this note to ask for your thoughts and prayers in support of my sister. I'm very sorry for involving you in my present issue but I was left with no choice but to contact you. I took a urgent visit to Philippine to see my sick sister who is suffering from a critical Uterine fibroid and must undergo a hysterectomy surgery to save her life. The news of her illness arrived to me as an emergency, she's going through a lot of pain at the moment and she needs family support to keep her going. I have spent all I have on me right now and the hospital/surgery team have advised that it is necessary that the tumor is operated soon to avoid any complications and have set a deadline to operate on her. All i need is the sum of $5,000 to make the necessary arrangement. I I traveled with little money due to the short time I had to prepare for this trip and never expected things to be the way it is right now. I was able to get the sum of $2,500 from a good fellow here in Philippine. Do you think there anyway you can wire some money to me via western union as this is a very good method for me to get the money with my ID passport. I will surely pay you back as soon as I return home hopefully on Thursday . Name : Jacqui Baylis Address : Kundiman Street, Sampaloc, 1008 Manila Philippines Once you are done with the transfer, kindly get back to me with the western union details to enable me pick up the money with my ID passport at the western union outlet here in Philippine. I look forward to read from you soon,Your quick and timely response will be very helpful to me. Thank you Jacqui Baylis
