Hannah Sr. died at the Illinois home of Hannah Jr. in about 1873 at the age of 68. She was supposedly injured in a carriage accident although that hasn’t been documented yet. She was buried at Clearfork Baptist Cemetery in Monroe Township, Guernsey County, OH. Research so far (w/assistance from Sandra) shows that Wm. Keepers (probably the father of Joseph) and Phebe Jordan (may have been Hannah’s mother?) signed a list of members of the Hephzibah Baptist Church who were present on May 20, 1810, calling for a constitution of the new church. (Futhey & Cope) John Mitchell of West Marlborough, in his will dated August 2, 1815, mentions a bequest to the children of his “sister Sarah Jordan dec’d”, with a further one to “my boy Israel Jordan” and one to “nephew . . . Hugh Jordan, son of Hugh”. Administration of the estate of John Jordan, Sr., of East Fallowfield, was granted March 11, 1809, to administrators, Sarah Jordan, Hugh Jordan and Jas. Steen.     3. from a lookup: Henry Knerr is listed as a landowner, in 1774, in Vincent Twp...and, I find Henry Knerr's name on a building list...1771...for St. Peter's Lutheran Church. In 1772 the church was completed and in 1773, Henry and others were installed as trustees.

I'll go ahead and sent it along...just remember..the above is the address that will reach everyone on the list. At first glance, I wonder if you have looked at the earlier census, looking for her in the home of her parents. She won't be enumerated by name, but will be there by age and sex, so you should pay attention to all Coopers in census after her birth ...and research any Coopers with a girl child the right age to be Hannah.. I looked through the Pa wills for the surname Riale, and find none in Chester, before 1840, and only 2 before 1900, if memory serves.... but there were quite a few mentions in Bucks Co....so this might be something to explore....or do you know of Richard's parentage? There are also Coopers in Bucks Co....also, a good many Hannah Coopers in various Phil. Co wills...so, the name is not uncommon in the whole area, I'm afraid. Richard didn't seem to have left a will or adm. papers, at least in Chester Co, but Hannah Riale did....1891....file# 23275. You can visit the Archives and Records Chester Co online site and read how to obtain a copy....it won't list her parents, but wills are always interesting and impart a good deal of info. Futhey and Cope discuss a Cooper family, descended from James Cooper, who came to Pa in 1684.....I don't see a Hannah the right age to be the one you seek, but this family DOES have several Hannahs. These folks were Quakers, but many families had switched religions in several hundred years, so this could be your Hannah's family..religion not withstanding. Sandra Humm - though I reposted -- did this go to the list?? I am attempting to find the ancestors of Hannah Cooper Riale. I know she was born 23 Aug 1810 in Pennsylvania and died Sep 1890 being buried in Russellville, Chester, PA, USA at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery. I have been able to find her on Census for 1840, 1850, 1860, 1870 and 1880 - all after she married Richard Riale (1798-1867) on 2 Oct 1830. They had 9 Children: Joshua RIALE (1834-Bef 1934), Joseph Evan RIALE (1836-1872), Amanda RIALE (1838-1896), Nathan RIALE (1840-1909), Richard RIALE (1842-Bef 1942), Elizabeth D RIALE (1844-Bef 1944), Hill RIALE (1846-1904), James Madison RIALE (1849-1872), and Lydia M RIALE (Abt 1853-Bef 1953). I am searching for Hannah's parents and earlier. Anyone with any hints, ideas or suggestions is welcome to contact me via Email or on this list. The Darby/Upper Darby James is probably the one I need to find, as he was the neighbor of all Hiram's inlaws, (Kirk and Evans) and the Kirk will has been one of my leads in that direction. I saw something in a will extraction (in either Chester, Delaware or Philadelphia) that referenced Darby and James, and his share being what he had already received. I was not focused on James yet, but that bit stuck and I can't find it again. As Hiram was born 1765, James must have been born sometime around 1740, if not earlier, and his parents, 1720 or earlier. George (Lew) Smedley also sent a lot of beautiful material, connecting to some of my other, earlier Williamsons and I am slowly wading through these notes. These connect with my Yarnall (Henton) and Brinton (Speakman) lines. I have not connected them to James and my Hirams yet, but I continue to pound away. Thank you again for all your work! Quite frankly, most folks who see a post like this....and I'm including myself in this.... simply delete it without bothering to go to another site and read some unknown data. they may not be interested in. I looked for Minor wills, in case there were any that could shed light on you Minor problem.....but nothing is in the archives but these, 1714-1876, which I will include, anyway, in case they 'fit' later. They do at least let you know that there were Minors in the New London area of the county. How interesting, though, these 3 Minor siblings must have died of the same thing.....their wills were written Aug 3, 12th and 18th...and all in probate Aug 31st...wonder what was 'going aroung' at that time? Also interesting is Thomas' comment on leaving his wife only 5 shillings because "she hath been guilty of several dlopements from me and of many other great misdemeanors to my great grief and loss"...boy, the stories these old wills 'tease' us with! I looked at the 1765 Chester ARchives and see that the name...surely the same folks....in New London.....was spelled Miner...so, keep that in mind. The Miners that I found in Futhey and Cope were all another family, who moved to Chester from Con..... S. MINOR, JOHN. New London.August 12, 1773. August 31, 1773.Refers to the devise to him in his father Thomas Minor's will dated August 3, 1773. To each child of my sister Elizabeth Davis £10 when of age.     3. Kim, Ruth Ann Frame1818-1900, is one of the toughest nuts to crack, on my family tree. I think I've searched pretty much everywhere in Chester, but have never been able to find parents for her, and believe me, I've looked. It's been a while, so things are a bit hazy, but I do remember looking through the Nathans' families, as there were Ruths scattered through the generations...but, I could never find where she 'fitted', if, indeed, she fitted at all. I've also toyed with the idea that Elisha Newlin 'might' have met and wed her in Ohio, as a census says their first child was born in Ohio...which is tough to figure out...and, Elisha, wife Ruth Ann and children moved to Belmont County, Ohio, after the 1850 federal census and before 1860, by which time Elisha was dead. Elisha owned land...a farm and a mill, in Chester, so there was no need to move away for land, which is often the reason for folks moving westward, so I wondered if they didn't make the move because Ruth Ann wanted to be close to her family, etc...it could also explain why she didn't move back to Chester, after Elisha's death......just a possible theory for which I have NOTHING in Ohio to back it up!.......so, if anyone has a 'extra' Ruth Frame, born around 1818, that they can't figure out, PLEASE let me know! Interestingly enough, Elisha Newlin's sister, Ellen Lousie Newlin 1826-1850, married Jacob M. Chalfant. Ellen was a member of the 2nd Baptist Church, formerly the Hepzibah Baptist Church, in Fallowfield, where many of the Newlins lived. It is the quilt made for the marriage of Ellen and Jacob, that I got for Christmas a few years ago.....remember? S. "Goodness! The other Nathan Frame, according to the will of his father Robert Frame who died in 1766, and his own will, lived in Sussex County, DE, He had 3 brothers; Smith Frame, George Frame, William Frame and a sister, Mary Frame. He appeared to have died in Worcester Co., MD and but his will was filed in Sussex County, DE. I'm trying to determine if these two Nathans are the same person. One source states that after the birth of my Nathan's 4 sons, "the father disappears from our notice." I'm wondering if he and his wife Ruth separated, and he moved to Essex County in Delaware to be with his parents, Robert and Isabella Frame. My Nathan did not leave a will, but Ruth filed for control of his estate. The other Nathan had a will that left everything to his brothers and sister. This was somewhat confusing because he was in the process of settling his father's estate when he himself died. Any information about the Nathan Frames that died in 1770 would really be appreciated. I have a Mary Chalfant born abt 1735, who married Nathaniel Jefferis in Chester PA (I think; hasn't been verified). Mary Chalfant's father was Isaac Chalfant; don't know her mother's name. My Townsends tie into this family because Nathaniel Jefferis' brother Samuel married a Margaret Townsend (a descendant of my immigrant Townsend) in 1759 at the Birmingham MM in Bucks Co, PA.     3. Tim et al - His surname was 'Jackson" of which there were hundreds in Chester County back in the 1700-1820 period...and later. He married (was it for the first or second time?) in Lake County, IL in 1855, and the marriage (in which his name is recorded as JOHN C. JACKSON) is documented in state records as having happened but with no further detaisl available. Most of the Jacksons from that time in Chester County seem to have been Quakers, but he was a Roman Catholic at the time of his marriage. He consistently reported in 19th Century censuses after 1850 that his parents were from Canada (where they possibly may have gone briefly as Loyalist Quakers from Chester County...just after 1783). His father's name MAY have been a Thomas Jackson, born in Nova Scotia in 1788 to Quaker exile parents, but whose arrival on Earth may also have been recorded at that time in an old record from the New Garden Quaker Meeting.     3. It appears that Thomas Williamson died without a will, but did leave administrative papers.....have you ordered a set from Archives and Records? One never knows what they'll find on adm papers.....I once ordered as set, hoping to find the children's names, and did...they were adults and all signed the papers, that they agreed with the court. WILLIAMSON, THOMAS. Thornbury. September 16, 1771. Adm. to Geo. Eavenson and Thos. Bishop. from THE HISTORY OF CHESTER COUNTY PA, by Futhey and Cope; Thomas Williamson and wife Ann Malin, had children, among them, a daughter named Mary...unfortunately there is no mention of who she married.. Daniel Jr who married Hannah Malin, ws born in 1688..... F&C also say that George Eavenson, son of Joseph and Catharine, married Mary Williams....not Williamson...he died 4-30-1816 and his widow 7-7-1828, over 100 years.

    3. I find other local spellings for Robinette you need to keep in mind...Robonet, Robinet, and Robinett. Allen Robonet appears in the 1689 listing for landholders in Chester Co, with 400 acres. There is a Wm Taylor also on the list, owning 400 acres...however, as your Wm was dead by then...see will, below...this is another Wm). Here is Wm's will, probate in Phil. Co...as you can see, his wife, Margaret, was already dead by then...As Wm died so soon, there will be little to find about him in county records. TAYLOR, WILLIAM. March 6, 1683. June 23, 1683. A. 9.Wife Margaret, lately deceased, near Chester alias Upland Estate to son Joseph and other children whose names are not given.Executors: John Simcock of Ridley Creek, Thomas Minchall.Witnesses: Peter Taylor, Mary Stevenson, Allen Robinett. ( I can't find a will for Allen Robinett under any of the spellings..if you have other spellings you want me to check, send them to me. There was a James Robinette living in York Co, in the early 1800s, but he left no will. From EARLY COURT RECORDS...TO 1710, Samuel Robinett, and Joseph Taylor acknowledged a deed unto Thomas Butterfield for 150 acres in Nether Providence....1697/8. There is no mention of Allen in this book of records. I figured the Robinetts were probably Quakers, as were most early citizens, but I couldn't find them in any of the MM records I have....then, I found this will, which I think indicates that they may have been Baptists, at least by the early 1700s. Sandra Here is another set of direct line ancestors. I know even less about them. William Taylor was an original purchaser of Penn Colony land and thus had a small piece of property in Philadelphia, He came to the US in 1682 as did Allen Robinette whose descendant link up with the Dunkelbergers in my other email. I can find no evidence that he was related to Zachary Taylor even tho Zachary was burried on the the land that William first5 owned. William Taylor was born 1640 in Cheshire, England. He died March 6 1682/1683 in Upper Providence, Chester Co. PA. This date has to be wrong because he came to the US later in 1682. I do know that he died soon after he came to the US. His brother Peter lived longer. He mar4ried Margaret Finsham May 1, 1665 in Presbury, Cheshire, England. She was born about 1645 and died March 3.1682/83 in Chester Co PA. Again, I think that the date is wrong. Mary Taylor was born Feb. 26, 1673/74 in Kakewick, Prestbury, Cheshire, England. and died 1747 i East Notingham, Chester, PA. She married Samuel Robinette abt 1693 in Chester, PA. Samuel was born May 11, 1669 in Cheshire, England and died April 30.1745 in East Notingham Twp, Chester, PA. Samuel was the son of Allen Robinette who was also an original purchaser Penn land. James Robinette wasw born 1713 in Upper Providence Twp, Delaware, PA. He died March 10. 1784 in Hunington Twp. York PA He married An unknown. She was born in Upper Providence Twp. Delaware PA and died after Oct 11. 1783. I am confused about the counties here. Was another county formed in this time period? The after date for her must have been a will. Samuel (Big Sam) Robinette was born about 1737 in Huntington Twp, York, Pa and died Oct 25, 1771 in Botetourt Va. He married Mary Fickle . She was born about 1738 in Syrasburg Twp, Lancaster Pa and died abt 17381826 Walker Creek, Wythe VA, James Robinette wasw born abt 1768 in Botetourt VA and died abt, 1816 in Scott Co VA. He married Catherine Darter. She was born June 26,1772 and died??? They were the parents of Rhoda Robinette as listed with the Dunklebergers/ Is Bot5etourt VA just over the line from PA??     3. I'm going to give it a try, again, and see how things go.....I will be gradually going through the old posts to see if I can answer any of the posted queries. It's unclear to me whether the family document was written in 1900, or just found around then...which, makes a big difference. Nothing written in 1900 ABOUT something that took place in 1797, can be taken as fact, without giving some sort of proof of the fact...I've told before of my several times great grandmother who was known by the whole family to have been born in Atlanta, Ga, in 1826. However, when I began my research I could find neither hide nor hair of her there. Later I found, on the death certificate of her son, that she had been born in Milledgeville, GA, where I then found her....all became clear to me, when I discovered that Milledgeville had been the capital of GA when Susan Ann was born...thus generation 1 said "Susan Ann was born in Milledgeville, the capital of GA"...generation 2 came along and said "Susan Ann was born in the capital of Ga",,,and from then on everyone said, "Susan Ann was born in Atlanta, the capital of Ga."...things have quite a way of getting tweaked, through the years, the reason for NEVER accepting as fact, the family lore type things.... documentation is the only way! Delaware Co was created, if memory serves, in 1789, only 8 years off your date, of 1797, which might be the answer - the family may have been in Chester Co for generations before the change to Del. Co, and simply thought of themselves as Chester Countians. Chichester was originally a section, not a town, of Chester Co....there had been Upper and Lower Chichester since the early 1700s, and in the mid 1700s were officially separated into 2 separate ones.....Upper and Lower....
