Seek info on John and Frances Brown, both d. Philadelphia (or vacinity) between 1900 and 1903, leaving children Alice, John, Claire and Adella (b. 12/28/1900). Children were adopted out John to a Catholic family, the girls to individual Protestant families. Adella, my grandmother, was adopted bef. age 3 by a family named Garvey of Greene Co., NY,Children later reunited, so the adoptive families may have been relatives or members of their church.
