Jim -- I have had quite a bit of success in the Pittsburgh area of late. The Carnegie Library has an index of obits and they will look up and send you 5 for $8.75. It is very reasonable and fast for 5 obits. If your ancestors are Catholic, I can't recommend the Pittsburgh Diocese enough. They charge $15.00 for 1 hours research. Well worth it for the information that they found for me. Good luck. I looked through the Pittsburgh Press for the entire year of 1926 to find her obit or death notice. I have just received the information that the death occured in 1928 and I have a copy of the corornors report. > She fell from a window in Penn township on Saturday June 16th 1928 and died while in Passavant Hospital on Thursday September 13, 1928. > I hope someone will take the time to look through the microfilms of the Pittsburgh Press just after the accident and just after the death to see it it contains any pertinent information. > Thanks in advance, > Jim Kiser in South Louisiana > > > ==== PA-OBITS Mailing List ==== > All obituaries submitted through the list get stored at the lists' archives and provide a valuable source of information to all researchers availing themselves of that option. > >
