Ref: The Wichita Eagle Wichita, Sedgwick County, KS Friday - March 7, 2003 Mould, Edna May Hunter, 101, of Benton, homemaker, died Monday, March 3, 2003. Memorial service 3 p.m. March 21, St. Mark's on the Mesa Episcopal Church, Albuquerque, N.M. Edna was born Dec. 30, 1901 in the village of South Bishopwearmouth, Counties of Sunderland and Durham, England, to William George Hunter and Lydia (Kirsopp) Hunter. She wed Edward Combie Mould on Aug. 9, 1921. In 1926, Edna transited the Atlantic aboard the Samaria with her son Douglas, entered through Ellis Island, and joined her husband Ted in Pittsburgh, Pa. Subsequently, she bored Edward Conrad Mould. After 20 years in Pittsburgh, Edna and Ted moved to Albuquerque when Ted took a position with Sandia Corporation. Ted preceded her in death in 1974, but she remained in her home until moving to Kansas and living with a grandson and his family in 2000. Edna was a long-time member of St. Mark's on the Mesa Episcopal Church, and remained active in Eastern Star well into her nineties. She was commanded by her mother Lydia to live to be one hundred years old; she did her one year better. She is preceded in death by her son Douglas. Surviving Edna is her son Ed and his wife, Joyce, of Oklahoma City, along with eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, as well as two sisters, Alma Johnston and her husband, Jim of Bath, Avon, England and Reta Tupper of Heswall, Wirral, England. Memorials established with St. Mark's on the Mesa Episcopal Church, 431 Richmond Place NE, Albuquerque, N.M. 87106 and Wheat State Manor, 601 S. Main, Whitewater, KS 67154.
