Hi PA-Obit Listers, I began sending obits from the old newspapers I have to the PA-Obits list because I thought folks outside of Indiana County, PA might find them useful for genealogy purposes. I had been originally sending them to the Indiana PA list only. I never imagined there would be such confusion since the names of the cities in the obits normally were of those in Pennsylvania, which researchers normally become quite familiar with in the normal course of their work. In any event, I'd like to devote my time to helping people locate their relatives rather than answering the emails sent to me about "why do you keep filling up my mailbox with junk???" and "This ain't Indiana...it's Pennsylvania".., etc. I sincerely apologize for the misunderstanding and will no longer send the obits to the PA-obits list. Donna, If THOSE THAT WERE COMPLAINING would have paid attention you did put it on, right at the top when you put the date, you also put the name of the paper. I know because I checked, I went back to the obit that I had copied that you had put on that was for my relative, and sure enough - The paper's name and date were both there. Keep up the good work. Please don't stop. I monitor Jefferson Co. along with several others but not Indiana even though some of the relatives could have come from or lived there. You are doing a service for all of us.
