    1. Re: [PA-OBITS] Obit request J. William Jost
    2. Dear Sandy - you did so much work, and I am sorry I did not include in my post that the LDS records had been searched to no avail. I work at the Family History Center in Woodbridge, Virginia, so that is usually the first place I look to break down a brick wall. What is it they say about "great minds"... Actually, the LDS record is incorrect. J. William (shown as William) Jost in the 1880 census, was age 42, born in Germany and was a Professor of Music. He had a son born in 1872, also a William who was 37 in the 1910 census, and who was the father of J. William who was born in 1900. Sooo many J. Williams!!! To add to the confusion, there was a J. W. Jost in Philadelphia, age 35 in the 1870 Census, who was a Professor of Music!!! Different wifes, different children!!! I have the LDS and the Census records, but what I really need is a date of death so that I can write for the death certificate. Would love to find an obituary, but there just doesn't seem to be that resource for PA for the time I am looking for. Thanks for looking and thinking of me and my humble request. Best regards, Paula
